Surfside Kids @ Harborside
Surfside Kids is a custom-designed ministry area for your kids, newborn through 5th grade. We strongly encourage you to involve your children in this safe and exciting environment - they will love it.
Vision of Surfside Kids Ministry:
•We believe our responsibility is not to dispense information, but to lead children toward transformation.
•We believe the best way to raise children is through the combined effort of the church and the parents. We want to equip parents with kids at every age level to become the primary spiritual leaders for their kids; we want to partner with parents so that the one hour the church has with kids each week is multiplied at home. We in SSK want to Think Orange. We want to Be Orange. Orange is not a primary color. It is a partnering, or combination, of red and yellow – with the result producing a new and brighter color, and a visual of our philosophy. Combine red, a representation of parental love and family, with yellow, representing Harborside's influence, and the result is ORANGE. Alone, we are just two influences, but together our combined influence can make a big difference!

Surfside Kids' Ministry is dedicated to creating environments for children to learn and apply God's Word. Children are our future; therefore, investing in our children results in exponential rewards.
Surfside Kids' Environments:
The Marina
The Marina is Harborside's environment for preschool children, newborn through Pre-K 4, during both the 9:00 and 10:45 services.

Hang Ten
Hang Ten, at 9:00 & 10:45am, is a large-group and small-group experience, where children engage in activities that reinforce Bible lessons.
Small-Group Lesson and Discussions
Children are broken into groups of 10-12 in order to meet other children, and work with a small-group leader who will help the children apply the lessons to their lives.
Large Group Worship
- Each week, children participate in an age-appropriate worship time.
- Large group lessons are taught using creative storytelling, drama and video.
- Each month a different virtue is taught.
- Every week we teach kids...
- Wisdom - I need to make the wise choice.
- Faith - I can trust God no matter what.
- Friendship - I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Surfside Rewards (K-5th grade)
Children can perform two of the challenges listed and they will receive a reward:
B-ring your Bible
R-ecite your memory verse
I-nvite a friend
N-ame the virtue and its definition
G-et your handout signed
Come as you are and BRING your kids...they just might beg you to come back to church!
